ARC of the Treasure Coast’s Return on Investment
The ARC is saving taxpayers as much as 33% on every dollar providing higher quality community based services, as opposed to the State providing the services for the individuals in a state institution. If funding cuts continue, many non-profits such as ARC could be forced to close the very programs that operate more efficiently while providing a wonderful quality of life for citizens with disabilities.
More than ever, we need to rely on the generosity of our community to fulfill the critical gap in funding that impacts every individual receiving services provided at the ARC.
Ways to Give:
Rewarding Work
The ARC of the Treasure Coast offers Rewarding Opportunities for Volunteers who are willing to enhance the lives and opportunities of children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Let the ARC provide you with the training and support necessary to make your volunteer experience educational and rewarding.
We have varying needs throughout the year and encourage you to apply.
A Cause You Can Get Behind
Your sponsorship offers public recognition of your business’s connection with ARC Martin County, which may help you attract new customers or bolster the your reputation because of the “halo effect” of the nonprofit’s good will. ARC of the Treasure Coast, in turn, receives financial support and may also experience increased attention from the media and the public, in-kind services, and/or product donations.
Please consider annual Sponsorships and also Specific Event or Need Sponsorships. Learn more about available Event Sponsorships on our Events Page.
History of APD Medicaid Waiver Cuts
In July 2003, the State of Florida adopted the Mercer Rate system that contained up to 720 billing options for residential habilitation rates and new rates for most of the 30+ services funded by the Home and Community Based Services Waiver.& nbsp; Transportation, Special Medical Homes and Intensive Behavior services continued to have negotiated rates.& nbsp; The legislature basically bought a reimbursement system that was based on direct care wages funded at the 25th percentile compared to national averages for wages.
We are very appreciative for your donations!
