The Agency for Persons with Disabilities supports persons with disabilities in living, learning, and working in their communities. APD provides to Floridians with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, Prader-Willi syndrome, and spinal bifida.
The purpose of the Children's Services Council is to plan, coordinate, fund, and evaluate programs and to address public policy issues relating to children in Martin County and St. Lucie County.

Men and women with developmental and physical disabilities register with their local Vocational Rehabilitation office to prepare them to find gainful employment. The partnership between VR and the ARC of Martin County provides employment services such as job training, placement and counseling, in Martin and St. Lucie Counties. The ARC helps individuals all ages from 17 to 70 to find the career that meets their challenges.
