Stuart, FL. – The ARC of Martin County is proud to be recognized as Palm City’s Charity of the Month. The Advocates for the Rights of the Challenged is dedicated to assisting, supporting, and empowering children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

ARC has grown steadily over the years since it began in 1956. Some of ARC’s exceptional programs include a summer camp and an After-School program for children ages 3 to 21. Residential and supported living services, training programs, community inclusion services, transportation, and Advanced Employment Services are available for adults.

“ARC of Martin County helps people with intellectual and developmental challenges meet their goals and dreams, said Keith Muniz, President, and CEO of the ARC of Martin County. “Dignity of work and pride in self-reliance is part of our plan to empower these folks to be the best they can be,” added Muniz.

Navigating the complex system of services for special needs can be extremely challenging and frustrating for families. ARC of Martin County understands the process and takes pride in helping families find the support they need for their loved ones.

“We are able to do what we do because we have a dedicated staff, generous donors, and the power of the community working together to lift everyone up,” said Muniz. “We are pleased to be recognized by Palm City for those efforts.”

ARC has a number of events each year to raise funds and welcomes financial donations from the community. Volunteers are also needed. To find out how you can help, please visit www.arcmc.org.
