Who We Are

The ARC of Martin County and the ARC of St. Lucie County have merged to become the ARC of the Treasure Coast – a powerhouse for good. ARC has grown steadily over the years since it began in 1956. The Treasure Coast division will now provide vital services from Vero Beach to Palm Beach Gardens and Okeechobee. Our mission remains the same - to empower children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to dream big, work with dignity, take pride in themselves, live independently in the community, and do it all at their own pace to achieve their fullest potential.

What We Do

Families looking for support and assistance for their loved one with a disability may wish to take advantage of the considerable expertise The ARC has acquired in this area. Advocates for the Rights of the Challenged provides families who are relatively new and unknowledgeable of the services available for people with special needs the guidance and training to navigate this ever changing and complex system. Our intake process will assist participants in identifying needed services and programs that are available.

How You Can Help

As a friend of the ARC of the Treasure Coast, you assist with ensuring our organization provides vital services in helping people with disabilities learn essential life skills, fulfill their personal goals, and reach their maximum potential.

Although we receive government funding for many of our programs, these monies are not enough to cover the costs of the services that we provide. Private donations are vital and allow us to fill this gap and ensure our ability to deliver quality services.

Your gift will allow us to continue our work to protect the rights of people with disabilities and support their full inclusion and participation in the community. For sponsorship opportunities and other ways to give, click here.
